Hello, I’m Catriona.

I am a licensed acupuncturist, holding a Licentiate in Acupuncture (Lic.Ac) following three years of professional training at the Acupuncture Foundation Ireland.

I offer thoughtful, individualised acupuncture appointments from a dedicated home clinic in Belfast. I take time to listen to each person’s health concerns, lifestyle and treatment goals and tailor appointments accordingly. My approach is informed by Traditional Chinese Medicine. Alongside discussing your health concerns and treatment goals, I may use traditional TCM assessment methods including detailed questioning, observation of the tongue and gentle pulse assessment at the wrist. These help me build a broader picture of your health and plan treatment tailored to you.

My connection with acupuncture is also personal. I was first introduced to acupuncture during my own fertility journey while trying to conceive my first child through IVF. The experience gave me a greater sense of support and wellbeing during what was an emotionally demanding time, and it sparked a lasting interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Years later, that interest led me to train as an acupuncturist. I understand that every fertility journey is individual, and I aim to offer a calm, compassionate space where people feel listened to and supported.

As a marathon runner, I understand the value of recovery, resilience and feeling confident in your body. My own experience of acupuncture has shaped the way I approach and build relationships; with time, compassion and attention to the whole person.

I am a trained Doula and I also hold a diploma in hypnobirthing, which informs my particular interest in supporting women’s well being through different stages of life.

I hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance for acupuncture practice.
